Peter Sauber Q&A: Team funding well set for 2011

BMW Sauber's 2010 campaign got off to a slow start, but with Kamui Kobayashi once again finishing in the points in Belgium, the team's renaissance shows no sign of flagging. To add to the optimism at Hinwil, team principal Peter Sauber is certain that after some tough financial times a healthy level of funding for 2011 is now secure. As to where that funding will come from, Sauber is tight-lipped…

Colin Kolles Q&A: Yamamoto set to retain HRT seat

After only launching their car in the week before the season opener in Bahrain, it was never going to be an easy debut year for new team HRT. But with the Spanish squad continually improving, team principal Colin Kolles is satisfied with the progress they have made so far. Kolles also seems pleased with driver Sakon Yamamoto, who initially filled in for Bruno Senna at June's British Grand Prix. Yamamoto has since replaced Karun Chandhok at three races, and it appears Kolles sees no reason to make any more changes in the near future…

Jenson Button Q&A: Battling on after Spa’s missed opportunity

Last weekend's Belgian Grand Prix was a bittersweet affair for McLaren's Jenson Button. Sweet because the MP4-25 was back in fine form for most of the weekend, but crushingly bitter because Button's own hopes of a second-placed finish ended after Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel collided with him following a misjudged overtaking manoeuvre. Forced to watch team mate Lewis Hamilton clinch an outstanding victory and the standings lead as his own title hopes diminished didn't help the Briton's mood either. In an interview with his official website, Button reviews the Spa race and pledges to come back stronger at Monza…

The Secret Life of Jarno Trulli

He's Italian but he's never driven for Ferrari; his first - and only - F1 victory came at Monaco, 2004; he has raised almost 670,000 Euros for Abruzzo since a devastating earthquake hit the region in April 2009; and he owns a vineyard. These are some of the things you probably know about Jarno Trulli. Now find out a few you don't, in the latest installment of our Secret Life series…

Lewis Hamilton Q&A: I’m targeting victory in Monza too

Although he almost lost it all after momentarily going off track in the rain, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton eventually cruised to a well-deserved victory in Belgium on Sunday. Added to his 2008 Silverstone and Monte Carlo triumphs, Hamilton has almost a complete set of wins at the calendar's 'classic' venues. Next on the British driver's agenda is Monza. And with the MP4-25 expected to be equally strong at next weekend's Italian Grand Prix, he may not have long to wait, as he explained in an interview with his official website…

Lewis Hamilton Q&A: It’s the perfect way to bounce back

After qualifying, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was cautiously optimistic the Belgian Grand Prix could work out well for him. And on Sunday the dream became a reality, as Hamilton clinched a formidable victory to move into the lead of the drivers' standings. The British driver reviews his Spa race…

Lewis Hamilton Q&A: We could be faster than the Red Bulls

With typically changeable weather conditions at Spa-Francorchamps for qualifying on Saturday, the timing of a driver's flying lap was crucial. Although it was Red Bull's Mark Webber who took pole position, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was next best at getting it right. And if he hadn't made a slight mistake on his final lap, Hamilton believes he could even have clinched P1…

Q&A with Force India’s Adrian Sutil

Last year Giancarlo Fisichella took pole position for Force India at Spa-Francorchamps. This year Adrian Sutil may have finished further down the order in P8, but he still managed to outperform Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and both Mercedes drivers to name just a few. And after three difficult races, the Silverstone-based team is hoping to score some good points on Sunday…

Mark Webber Q&A: Consistency now critical to title race

It was a rainy day for a birthday, but that is what you sometimes get in Belgium. A huge cake from his Red Bull team compensated at least partially for the monsoon-like conditions. Regardless, Mark Webber leads the championship and is in relaxed frame of mind going into this weekend's Grand Prix. The RB6 may not have featured highly on the Friday timesheets, but Sunday's a different matter and Webber would love to add a prestigious Spa win to his trophy cabinet - even if he admits he now has the championship's long game in mind…

Sebastian Vettel Q&A: The key word is ‘attack’!

For many F1 experts Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel is still the hottest candidate for the 2010 drivers' title, despite his occasional mistakes - notably his safety-car lapse at the last race in Hungary. Spa-Francorchamps, venue for this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, puts intense pressure on car and driver and if Vettel can succeed here then his championship odds will shorten dramatically. But can he put those previous errors out of his mind and go on the offensive? The German believes so…
